Wanlan obtained her master’s degree in Computer Science from Tongji University, China. During this time she mainly focused on machine-learning-based natural image superresolution algorithm design. She then worked as an algorithm engineer in autonomous driving and biological image processing for three years. She is interested in the interdisciplinary research of biology intelligence and computational algorithm. She joined the lab in May 2022 to study the strategies of cell-cell pairing in yeast mating.
