Background

I obtained my MSc in Biology at the University of Geneva, which I completed with a lab experience on centriole formation in the lab of Jordan Raff at the Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford. I remained in the same institute to pursue a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology in the lab of Matthew Freeman. I discovered that ERK1/2 phosphorylate the rhomboid-like protein iRhom2 to induce a positive feedback loop promoting lung tumour growth.

Combining my passions for both the cytoskeleton and MAPK signalling, I joined the lab of Sophie Martin in February 2021. My postdoc project focuses on how GPCR-driven pheromone signalling induces actin-dependent shmoo formation in fission yeast. To characterise the interactome of the pheromone signalling pathway, I designed a high-throughput screen using both immunoprecipitation – mass spectrometry (IP-MS) and AlphaFold-Multimer.
