Maxim obtained his Bachelor degree in molecular biology from University College London and then moved to KU Leuven, Belgium to obtain a Master’s degree in Biochemistry. Having explored the role of small subunit ribosomal proteins in healthy ageing in Caenorhabditis elegans for his master thesis, Maxim is now eager to delve into the world of microtubule biology. As of 2022, Maxim is a PhD student in Ivana Gasic’s group where he is studying the molecular players and mechanisms that govern microtubule nucleation in cells.
