MSc Alina Batiuk
Doctoral candidate
Alina obtained her Bachelor and Master degrees in molecular and cell biology in Kyiv, Ukraine. She then moved to KULeuven, Belgium, to learn more about tumour biology and mechanisms that lead to cancer transformation. Excited about protein biology and posttranslational modifications of proteins, Alina then joined a proteomic group at the Center for Protein Research in Copenhagen, where she applied cutting edge mass spectrometry to study the interactome of human deubiquitination enzymes. Currently Alina is a PhD fellow in Ivana Gasic's group, and she is keen to unravel posttranscriptional control of tubulins protein quantity and learn more about microtubule biology.
