Ivana obtained her master's degree from the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and then moved to the ETH (Zurich, Switzerland) to conduct her doctoral studies with Prof. Patrick Meraldi. After graduating in 2015, Ivana moved to Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA) to join the team of Prof. Timothy J. Mitchison with whom she carried out her postdoctoral work. As of 2021, Ivana holds an SNSF Eccellenza Assistant Professorship position at the University of Geneva. She is fond of microtubules, quantitative biology, light microscopy, good wine, and mountains.
