Malina obtained her Bachelor and Masters degree in biochemistry from the University of Tübingen, Germany. For her master’s thesis, she moved to Cologne, Germany, to study the interplay between mitochondrial DNA maintenance and dynamics at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing. As of 2022, Malina is a PhD student in Ivana Gasic’s group and eager to dive into the world of microtubules and their intricate dynamic properties.
